Since the summer of 1977, FES Ltd have continually sponsored Cambusbarron Rovers Amateur Football Club and it is with much pleasure that we can announce that the team will benefit again from this backing for the new season. The Committee, Coaching Staff and the Players all wish to express their thanks to all the Directors and Staff at FES Ltd. for continuing this fantastic level of support.
The Rovers took the field for the first time in 1977 with the FES Ltd. logo prominently displayed on their jerseys and they have worn strips with the FES Ltd. logo on them ever since. This makes it the longest running sponsorship deal any club has enjoyed in Scottish Football. Indeed the Rovers were the first amateur club to officially wear a sponsors’ logo on their jersey when within days they followed Hibernian Football Club who were the first club to wear a logo (Bukta) on their shirts in Scotland.
Cambusbarron Rovers can never thank their good friend, FES Ltd Director Hunter Fletcher, enough for all he and all at FES Ltd. have done, and continue to do in supporting the Rovers. It was he who first muted the idea to members of the Rovers committee in 1977. Little did anyone realise then that it would still be as lucrative for the Rovers all these years later.
Cambusbarron Rovers name has become synonymous with FES Ltd. and we are very proud and honoured to be so strongly associated with this major company.
Everyone
connected with Cambusbarron Rovers would like to wish all at FES Ltd at
their headquarters in Pirnhall in Stirling, continued success for the future.
